Blueprint for Workplace Success

Job Preparation Training

Blueprint I - How to get a job. This course is designed for entry-level workers who want to gain practical skills for landing a job. Learn how to communicate effectively, prepare a winning resume, how to contact employers and perform an effective interview, time management skills, understanding workplace issues and much more!

Blueprint II - How to keep a job. This is an interactive job retention training class that assists workers in developing skills for success and career advancement. It builds on skills learned in Blueprint I, and takes the student into more depth and covers additional topics such as, teamwork and leadership, critical thinking and problem solving, managing conflicts and working in a cultural diverse environment.

College Preparation Program

BRIDGE TO WORK FOSTER PROGRAM

Paid work experience for Foster youth.

BRIDGE-TO-WORK FOSTER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM

Annual program that provides first-time work experience to youth and young adults ages 14-24 at various city governments and community based organizations. Youth go through 20 hours of personal enrichment training and later are placed at employers to work an average of 140 hours.

CAREER PATHWAYS

Through the Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Technology Linked Learning (AMETLL) Consortium, career pathways have been developed. Work based learning activities Include worksite visits and company tours, guest speakers, job shadowing and internships.

BRIDGE TO CAREER PATHWAYS

Out of school youth and young adult program focusing on a Learn and Earn Model and On-The-Job training. Opportunities include working in Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Healthcare, Hospitality customer service, trade logistics and utilities.

A place where teens can have fun with games and activities and learn with computers, workshops and fieldtrips.
